St Helens Climate Impact Week Nature Trail

St Helens has a diverse range of wildlife in its open spaces and parks. With over 952 hectares of parks and recreation space, it is home to a variety of species.
Biodiversity, the variety of all life on Earth, provides us with essential benefits.
Biodiversity is crucial for our survival, providing us with everything we need. However, species extinction is accelerating, with over 98% of all species that have ever lived now extinct. In the last 40 years, wildlife populations have decreased by 69%.
As part of Climate Impact Week, St Helens Borough Council is pleased to launch a wildlife nature trail (w/c 2nd June) around the Borough to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on local wildlife.
